UNITED STATES DEMAND FOR COMPENSATION. PRESENTATION OF NOTE. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) WASHINGTON, June 22. The Assistant Secretary of State. Mr Welles, has sent a formal Note to the German Charge d'Affaires. Dr H. Thomsen, drawing attention to President Roosevelts statement to Congress regarding the sinking of the American freighter Robin Moor. The President announced that demands would be made for full compensation for losses and damage suffered by American nationals.
