CLEARING SALE
PRICES AT EKETAHUNA. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr Richa'd Farrow at Eketahima yesterday, when they offered the whole of his dairy herd and sundries. The herd came forward in good condition. Calving dates were available, but no records. However, the early culvers met a keen market and averaged LTD 12s (id, the top price being £l2 10s. Horse, pigs, implements and sundries made late rates. The following were the main prices:—Cows, due August-September. £9 10s. £lO. £ll. £l2 to £l2 10s; cows, due October-De-cember, £7, £8 10s. £9 to £10; empty cows, £3 10s. £4 to £5; springing heifers, £7 to £9: 5-year Shorthorn bull, £lO 10-;; yearling heifers. £3 10s; 1 14-year jclraught gelding. £29: sows to farrow. £3 to £(i; slips. 8s to 10s: milk cows, £3 Ils; spring drays. £l9 and £lO 10s: hay mower. £l3: tripod harrows, £6 ss: turkey liens and gobbler. 10s 6d each.
