At the weekly parade of the Home Guard there was a good attendance despite cold and inclement weather. Instruction was given in machine gun, Morse signalling, rifle and staff work. Next Sunday a parade will be held at 10.30 a.m., after which members will embus to carry out combined manoeuvres in the Dyerville district. Golf. The best cards handed in for a medal handicap played by members of the Martinborough Golf Club were: — Miss Harvey 94. 14, 80; Mrs McLeod 107, 19. 88; Mrs Baker 113. 24, 89.
