It was decided to forward a letter of thanks to both bodies.

“I am directed to ask that the rent to the Wairarapa Rugby Football Union for the use of the Showgrounds for the 1939 season bo the same as charged for the 1938 season," stated a letter from the secretary. Mr E. McKenzie. “We regret having to make this request. but reduced income makes it necessary do so and from present indications it will not be possible to pay more than in 1938." “There seems to be a slump on in Wairarapa Rugby at present and we should do our utmost to foster the game," said Mr J. McLeod. It was decided to grant the Union’s request. One new member was elected.
