At the wool sales, 8,391 bales were offered, including 2,937 from New Zealand and 7,340 were sold. A good selection met with a keen demand and, apart from greasy crossbreds which were occasionally in buyers’ favour, rates were well maintained. Quotations: New Zealand scoured Merino combing, Braemer, 22d to 23d.
