ALLEGED ASSAULT

ON POLICE CONSTABLE AT GREYTOWN. TWO MEN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (“Times-Age” Special.) On a charge of assaulting Andrew Gregor so as to cause him actual bodily harm and on an alternative charge of assaulting Andrew Gregor, a police constable, -while in the execution of his duty at Greytown on June 27, Charles De La Cour, salesman and labourer, late of Martinborough, and Kenneth Sullivan, labourer, late of Masterton, appeared in the Greytown Court today before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.

Both accused entered pleas of not guilty. Sullivan was represented by Mr C. T. Curtis and De La Cour conducted his own defence. They were committed to Supreme Court for trial on the first charge and the later charge was adjourned sine die.
