Considerable interest is being taken in the revival of skating in Masterton. and the opening tonight of the Mascot Skating Rink, opposite the Power Board Office in Queen Street, is being eagerly awaited. Yesterday the rink was open to school children free of charge, and a large number thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The appointments are up-to-date and the hall is tastefully decorated. The bitumen floor provides an excellent skating surface. An efficient staff is in attendance to assist beginners.
