The man who first said two heads are better than one couldn’t possibly have known the hangover. A suggestion for combating the plague of worms in the group of State houses in Cobden, near Greymouth, was given by a city resident. His plan was that at doors and windows —all the points of entry—sheets of tin should be fitted to the wall, and bent away from the wall at the height of a few inches. The effect of the plan would be that the worms, after climbing the tin, would be unable to pass the bent portion, and would fall to the ground. Smearing the tins with motoroil would make the plan even more effective. it was suggested.
