BACK TO CABINET?

MR CHURCHILL AS FIRST LORD “DAILY MAIL” PREDICTION. MR EDEN'S RETURN ALSO ADVOCATED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON. July 4. The “Daily Mail” says Mr Winston Churchill's early appointment as First Lord of the Admiralty is certain. His inclusion in this or a similarly important post has been discussed for some time by Ministers, most of whom agree that he would be a valuable asset. All differences are now ended. Mr Churchill is prepared to join the Cabinet and fulfil a national duty, wholeheartedly supporting the policy enunciated by Lord Halifax. The inclusion of Mr Anthony Eden is also advocated by some papers.
