To the Editor of the Standard, Si*.—There is distress iu the North through the eruption of Tarawera. Can we not set apart one of out Monday night concerts for the benefit of the sufferers ? Let us have a big concert at Is and an honr or two s dancing after. Surely we can contribute a little to the need of the sufferers. 1 am,&c. Sympathy,
