TE AWAMUTU BRANCH. , The ordinary monthly meeting of the local Committee was held last Monday afternoon, the chair being taken by the president, Mrs J. W. McCarroll; there were also present Mesdames Collins, Goodall, Hiskens, Locke, W. G. Macky Oliphant, IRoberton, Whitelaw, West (treasurer), and Swarbrick (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Downes, S. C. B. Mackiy, C. W. Rickit, and A. H. Storey. The nurse's report for November showed 28 new cases; visits, to homes 25, visits to rooms—adults 2/6, babies. 186, older children 22; telephone calls 27, babies under supervision 230, older children 30. Leave of absence for nine months was granted Mrs Whitelaw, who will be absent from New Zealand during that period. A letter was received .from the nulrsing adviser to the Council stating that arrangements had been made for Nurse MbLeod to take her annual leave from 3rd January next. The nurse will be away for three weeks, and her place will be taken by Miss Buscke, of Auckland. After lengthy consideration it was decided that the annual Paddy's Market should be held on 7th March next, that being the most convenient date available.

Box donations continue to maintain the level recently reached, the amount for November being £1 15s OJd.
