WOMEN'S/ INSTITUTE. (Own Correspondent.) The. monthly meeting of the local Women's Institute was held in the hall om Wednesday, when Miss Jefferson presided over a fair attendance. Mrs Teasdale, of Te Awamutu, gave ah interesting demonstration of cake icing, and she showed much skill and originality in her work. The competition,, suitable Christmas gifts, was keenly contested and was won by Mirs Alex Stewart. There was also a table full of Christmas gifts for exchange among members, and a bring-and-buy stall which did good business. The hall and tea tables were artistically arranged by the hostesses, Mesdames Hiskens, Chestnut and Nitz,' who were also responsible foe the afternoon tea arrangements.
