PRESIDENT'S REPORT. The following report was submitted by the Presenting my annual report for the season 196634, it is with regret that I have to record a •financial loss on the season s work, which loss is solely attributed to the very bad weather on each carnival night, our lack of coverfed-m seating accommodation, making the evening very uncomfortable for the public, and our gate suffered in consequence. However, during the reces s I waited on the Mayor and councillors and from the very sympathetic hearing accorded me, I hope that ere long suitable cubicles and covered-m seating will be provided. During the season the usual privilege wfas granted to the school authorities for the children, and it is pleasing to note that a further* number of the children are now able to swim. This fact, in itself, is, you will lagree, a very pleasing compensation for the club 3 efforts. The competitions for the Middlebrook and Wetherell Cups resulted in these coveted trophies being retained by the previous year's winners, Mr H. Peake and Miss T. Patterson,, respectively. • ■• • Our club had the South Auckland Diving Championships allotted to it, but as our diving boards are not suitable, the event had to be declined. Representatives from our club competed at Hamilton, Matamlata, Cam- • bridge, Paeroa* and Thames during the season and met with satisfactory success. The services of Mr Lash, treasurer, have been lost to the club owing to transfer, and I desire to (have placed on record our tion of his valued help and the best wishes of our members for his future prosperity. • The balance sheet, although showing a loss on the year's efforts, must be 'considered satisfactory, and reflects Very creditably on the secretary, Mr Peake, who has at all times been mosf painstaking and efficient in his Work. Special mention must also be made of the custodian, Mr W. Rjajmsbottom, under whose care the baths and grounds were kept in a creditable manner. Unfortunately for the club his services will not be again available, the appointment of . a successor will therefore require early attention. To the various officers of the club I tender my best thanks for their hearty co-operation and trust that the coming season may prove a very successful one.
