NEW ROLE FOR FILM SWEETHEART.
The Sweetheart of the World may shortly bid farewell to films. Mary Pickford has fallen for radio. She gave the hint on her return to Hollywood recently from New York.
“I am under contract to go to New York to play the lead in the broadcast of a new play every week by a stock company,” she said. “Hitherto pictures have been my business and the radio a sort of hobby. Perhaps in future the order will be reversed.”
