With the concurrence cf his sessions, he intended to visit England due to the serious illness of Mrs Whitelaw’s mother. Presbytery granted the request, having heard that suitable arrangements for supply were about comjpleted.

Among tlh.e list of successful candidates in the recent examinations carried out by the New Zealand Pharmacy Board was Mr Jas. L. Fleming, of Mr W. Jeffery’s pharmacy staff, Te Awamutu. Mr Fleming, who is a son of Mr and Mrs Fleming, Leith Street, received telegraphic advice on Tuesday afternoon of his success, and since then he has been heartily congratulated, for he was one of the youngest candidates to sit this year—and succeed.
