Adams, of Te Awamutu, received advice on Monday morning of an accident sustained by his father, Mr John Adam!s, of Owens Roach Epsom, while following the Pakuranga hounds on Saturday afternonn. Mr Adams, who is 75 years, of age, has for many 'years been a consistent and enthusiastic follower of the hounds, and on Saturday he experienced one of very few accidents in a long career. It appears that the horse in front of Mr Adams’ mount baulked at a jump, and in a melee Mr Adams’ leg was crushed so badly that the sufferer had to be removed to hospital. Latest advice is that Mr Adams is making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
