FISHING REGULATIONS
AFFECT NORTHERN KING COUNTRY. The Otorohanga Acclimatisation Club was represented at a special meeting of the. Auckland Acclimatisation Society, at Cambridge, on Saturday last,, by Messrs F. O. R. Phiii--Ips and Thos. McCready. The meeting approved amendments of the reguljat.ons for next season covering the use of various types of fly in different waters of the province. The remit from the Society regarding the closing of the Waipa River for natural fly fishing, caused some dscussion, and was not carried.—lt was decided to close the Moakururua stream, in the Honikiwi district, from its junction with the O'marau stream to its source on Qun’s property, for alfi trout fishing for twelve months. The regulations formerly applying to all other waters in the Northern King Country, stand as before. It w|fiis agreed that the Puriri, Raparapa, Omahine and Kakaho streams be open to all fishing fram October Ist, 1934, to September 30th, 1935. Messrs Johnson, Savage, Gordon (sec.). Withers, Dobson (ranger), and Dr Johns, represented the parent body.
