Following the recent torrential rain a serious slip occurred on the main highway two miles on the Kawhia side of Ngutunui bridge, on the mfain Te Awamutu-Kawhia highway, yesterday morning. Only one-way traffic is able to negotiate the locality. It has been announced in Hamilton that Mr W. Lee Martin, of Matangi, will contest the Raglan seat at the next election as the Labour Party's candidate. Mr Martin successfully contested the seat in 1927 and 1928, but was defeated by Mr D. S.
