TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports: At. Te Awamutu on Thursday the heavy yarding of cattle which came forward consisted of a good yarding of fat cattle and a large entry of store and boner cows, all of which sold at late rates. The advertised entry of dairy cows was disposed of at satisfactory figures. There was also a good yarding of dairy heifers, which met with spirited competition, and sold readily. Medium prime fat bullocks made to £6 12s 6d, heavy fat cows and heifers £4 to £4 10s, medium quality ditto to £3, fresh-conditioned cows £2 3s £3 5s to £3 15s, lighter ditto £2 10s to £2 9s, forward store cows £1 10s to £1 17s, medium ditto £1 4s to £1 10s, others £1 2s, potter bulls to £3 15s, best-quality dairy cows close to profit £5 5s to £6 ss, more backward ditto £3 15s to £5, late calvers £2 to £3 10s, best-quality dairy heifers close to profit £4 15s to £5 10s, more backward ditto £3 5s to £4 10s, late calvers £2 5s to £3. A good yarding of sheep, consisting of a lew fat wethers and ewes and a large numbei of lambs, a small proportion of which were stores, met with keen competition, and the lot were disposed of at full market values. Heavy prime fat wethers made 28s to 29s Gd, medium ditto 24s to 2Gs Gd, lighter ditto 21s to 245, heavy prime 2-tooth ewes 25s to 28s, heavy fat ewes 18s to 20s Bd, medium ditto 14s to 17s Gd, lighter ditto 12s to 14s, heavy fat lambs 19s to 235, medium ditto 17s to 18s Gd, forward lambs 15s to 16s Gd, good store ewe lambs 16s to 20s, good stoic lambs 11s to 14s. A small yarding of fat and store pigs was penned, prices remaining firm with outside markets. Heavy baconers made £2 15s to. £3, medium ditto £2 10s to £2 13s, light baconers and heavy porkers £1 16s to £2 ss, porkers £1 5s to £1 12s, stores 16s to £1 Is, slips 12s to 15s, good weaners 10s to 15s, others 6s to Bs.
