PLUNKET BALL

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION AT OHAUPO. (Own Correspondent.) The tenth annual Plunket ball was held in the Memorial Hall at Ohaupo on Wednesday last, and was an outstanding success. Splendid music was supplied by Clayton’s Orchestra, and added much to the enjoyment. The hall, which presented a brilliant scene, had been prettily decorated in Japanese fashion. Brightly-coloured cheiVy blossoms and fans adorned the walls, and the stage, which was made up to represent a Japanese room, looked veny dainty and bright with window boxes of chrysanthemums and pretty casement windows. The supper room had also been prettily decorated with bamboo, greenery, and flowers, and locked dainty and bright. Among those at the ball were: Mesdames Noi’ton, black silk lace and bridge coat; G.
