"It does not pay to show off," said Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court on Friday, when two youths, Alfred Harp and Thomas Hugh Goodall, admitted that they had ridden their motor-cycles in a negligent manner and had failed to use the 'handle-bars. Inspector Courtney said he saw the defendants trick-riding in Rosstrevor Street. They stood on their machines and had their hands above their heads. The speed of the machines was about 25 miles an our. The defendants said there was no traffic about at the time. Fines of 10s were imposed on each of the two counts.
