Public Notices. Established in 1910 as an advocatt, and at all times serving the interests of the District. THE WAIPA POST For 21 years the media for and on behalf of this District. A Public Meeting was held in T« Awamutu Town Hall on 28th August, 1910. Mr H. Y. Collins presided. It was proposed by Mr G. H. Whit*, seconded by Mr F. D. Wood, that a newspaper be established in Te Awmmutu. The principles then accepted hare been maintained:— 1. That the paper be owned by a Public Company and controlled by a Directorate resident in the district. 2. That it serve as the media and advocate for the district. 3. Subject only to such restrictions as are imposed by law, its columns be open at all times for the expression of opinion by all residents of the district on all matters of public policy. All residents are invited to use the facilities which are thus available to them in THE WAIPA POST. To now settlers particularly the invitation is extended. They are asked to offer suggestions based upon successful experiences in districts whejre they previously resided, so that in this district the value of practical suggestion for the betterment of any conditions may be speedily made known.
