SMALL BOY'S DEATH
AFTER OPERATION TO HAND. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Monday. A boy, Herman Hopkins, aged 12 years, died at the house of Dr Page, at Kumara, last evening, following recovery from an anaesthetic which was •administered for the purpose of an operation on his hand, into which a fishing gaff had been run." " _. It is stated that the boy was found to have an obstruction in his throat. Tracheotomy was performed, but the lad died.
