AEROPLANE DAMAGED
MISHAP WHILE LANDING. (By Telegraph. Press Association.') HAWERA, Monday. The under carriage of one of the New Plymouth Western Federated Flying Club's aeroplanes was smashed and a longeron was broken when the machine struck a hole in landing at Manaia to participate in the jubilee celebrations.
The aeroplane was piloted by Mr K. Holdaway, who had Mrs Holdaway with him as a passenger, and was one of four club machines taking part in the celebrations. The aeroplane was dismantled and conveyed to New Plymouth by motor lorry.
