WATER CUT OFF
LEGAL ACTION THREATENED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. In view of the State Advances Department refusing to pay its share of the general rates on properties reverting to it, the Onehunga Borough Council decided some weeks ago not to supply the houses in question with water. At -a meeting of the council last evening a letter was received from the superintendent of the State Advances Office threatening legal proceedings if the council did not supply water to those premises, some of which were being occupied by weekly tenants. The Council decided to take no action.
