FOOTBALL CONCERT. (Own Correspondent.) The concert and dance in aid of the Pirongia Football Club's funds was held on Wednesday evening, and notwithstanding a rough and bitterly cold night, there was a fair attendance. In consequence, of the weather anti that a bazaar, in aid of the dental clinic, was held during the afternoon, the club funds will not benefit to antgreat extent. Nevertheless the management, had the satisfaction ct presenting a first-rate entertainment both in connection with the concert programme and the dance music, the latter comprising a combination oi piano, violin and saxophone. first rate supper was dispensed after the concert. " The high praise voiced by some of the Hamilton singers regarding the acoustic arrangements of our Memorial Hall is worthy of note. The programme as arranged by Miss Rene Bell, was as follows: —Song, Miss R. Bell: tableau, the Misses Grace; song. Dir I. Anderson; duet, the Misses Bell: dance, Miss Betty Syers; song, Mr Bruce Anderson; dance. Miss Syers: song, Dliss A. Bell; saxophone solo. Mr E. Hayward: song. Mr Ken. Eade; duet, the Messrs Anderson.

Enchores were frequent and at the close of the programme Dir T. C. Grace apologised for the non-ap-pearance of Dir Bert Hey, Manga - piko, and Miss Hohopata, of Te Awaniutu. Mrs W. H. Bell and Dir Bruce Anderson acted as accompanists.
