UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—l, as a ratepayer, hope that the Borough Council will not give any serious consideration to its foreman s preposterous suggestion that unemployed men shall' not be employed if they do not provide their own tools, as reported in The Waipa Post of 15th instant. An unusual procedure, surely ! If carried out, I trust that the attention of the Unemployment Board in Wellington will be drawn to such a mercenary act.—l am, etc., LIVE AND LET LrVE.
