“ Since we threatened to sue we have collected £BOOO of the outstanding rates,’’ said the chairman. Mr F. B. Logan, at last Monday’s meeting of the Hawke’s Bay County Council. “I don’t know whether other members have received the same amount 'of abuse that I have on this matter.!- I am not going to defend myself or the council, but the fact remains that we have collected the rates.”
