COUNTY Ratepayers are notified that the Council, having received from the Government the subsidy payable under Section 45 of The Finance Act (No. 4), 1931, can now grant a refund or rebate, as the case may require, of 12i per centum of the amount levied by the Council in respect of current rates. Ratepayers who have already paid such rates, and who can conveniently call at the office of the Council, will be granted refunds forthwith. Ratepayers whose current rates are still unpaid will be entitled to a rebate equal to one-eighth thereof until further notice. THOS. GRANT, County Clerk. Yy.HEREAS certain persons did on the 21st day of December, 1931 present a petition to the Waipa County Council praying that a certain area in Block V. Puniu Survey District in the Waipa County be declared a district for the construction of drainage works under the provisions of Section 168 of “ The Counties Act, 1920,” AND WHEREAS the Waipa County . Council proposes to consider the said Petition on the 25th day of January, 1932 and if the prayer of the said Petition be approved will then make a Special Order Constituting the said district as aforesaid. NOW THEREFORE in pursuance of the provisions of the said Section 168 of “ Thei Cqun-> ties Act, 1920,” the Waipa County Council- hereby gives public notice that plans of the proposed district have been'deposited at the offices of the Mount Wellington Road Board and the Panmure Township Road Board both at Panmure, being two Road Board Offices nearest to the nroposed district and at the County Office, Blink Street, Te Awamutu, ''and that; sqch i plans are open for inspection bylthe public without fee from the date ! thereof until the said 25th day of January, 1932.
