BOY’S TRAGIC DEATH
■ ACCIDENT AT CRICKET. (By Telegraph. Press Association) ' AUCKLAND, This Day.' As a: result of striking his head on a box that was in use as wickets in a game of.; cricket being played by a number of boys in jluchanan Street, off Eden Terrace, early last evening, Alfred Arnold Hows, aged 18, died almost instantaneously. The youth, who was playing cricket with several other boys outside his home at 15, Buchanan Street, was running when he stumbled and struck his head against the edge of the box. which inflicted a slight wound just above his right' eye. The boy fell to the 'ground, and the St. John Ambulance was summoned, but the boy was dead before it arrived. ' He had previously suffered from heart trouble. An inquest will be opened this m'orning. ■ • •
