GETTING "BREAKS"
" Don't be altogether too sure that It is lack of brains that has kept your friend from making a financial success while you have been accumulating. It may be lack of breaks. You have had the breaks and inwardly claim more credit than you deserve. Perhaps your friend's life work is less remunerative than yours. You may blame him for choosing to spend his time in a line for which there is so little money paid in comparison with the labour. But to some persons there is a certain accomplishment above the winning of shekels. In your programme there is little else but the income you can derive. For him there may be brain development—growth in all round knowledge that makes him more intelligent and happier. Perhaps you have been governed by a more or less selfish interest. Possibly your friend is putting his knowledge to work for others. Under such circumstances, which one is the more successful as a man? Be honest in coming to a conclusion. Man is not the final judge anyway. There is a better source from which judgment comes.
