FATAL SHOT WOUND

YOUNG PARMER'S DEATH. (By Telegraph. Press Association). HAMILTON, Monday. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Thomas Francis Taylor, aged 33, single, who was found dead on a farm near Whatawhata yesterday. Evidence was given by Richardson Freeman Taylor, a brother, that deceased left his home at Te Kowhai on September 21 to remove some cattle on a farm owned by their father on the old Raglan Road, near Whatawhata. Before leaving deceased had a disagreement with his father, John Taylor, regarding the raising of money on a mortgage. Deceased, his three brothers, and the father had an interest in the Te Kawhai farm, said witness, and deceased objected to the raising of a loan. Oscar Gaskell and Constable P. White gave evidence relating to the finding of the body. They said deceased had a shot wound in the head, and a gun, with an empty cartridge in. the breech, was found near the body. A verdict of suicide was returned.
