UNION SECRETARY FINED
FAILED TO MAKE INCOME TAX RETURNS. WELLINGTON, Friday. Alexander McLeod, a union secretary in receipt of a salary of £450 a year, was to-day fined £5 on the first and £2 on each of other three charges with solicitors' fee and court costs in each case for failure to make income tax returns. He was unknown to the Department till recently.
