ANNIVERSARY DANCE
AT TE MAWHAI. The Te Mawhai Hall was en fete on the evening of Thursday last, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the hall. Specially striking \tfere the decorations, a scheme of blue and orange being used with great effect with festoons of gay balloons. The district ladies, under the leadership of Mesdames Daniell and C. Kirkhani, are to be congratulated on the pleasing result of their artistic efforts.. The gathering was a particularly successful one, the whole district having responded to the call to commemorate the auspicious occasion. Excellent music was supplied by the Te Awamutil Orchestra and as the floor was in perfect condition a most enjoyable evening resulted. Miss Erena Jones and Mr Ganley won the balloon dance competition. During the evening Miss Cliff con “ tributed acceptable songs and local talent played extras. An excellent supper was served by the hall committee. __
