LEIGH--McCREADY. > :/? A popular and mostinteresting ding ceremony was performed; at ;thfe Otorohanga Presbyterian.Church,<yesterday,/the Rev. W- Butterw^rth, : of; Te Awamutu . officiating. The contracting parties were, Nora (youngest. daughter of Mrs M. J. McCreadyK and Leonard Redvers Leigh, both popular residents of Otorohanga. The > bride entered the church on the arm ;: of her brother, Mr T; McCready;;wear-;/ ing a frock of cream/georgette:/ silver lace. The bodjce//was-tight / fitting and the skirt - drapejiwith/an -- uneven hem, falling to the ankle. She ; . carried a shower bouquet of white.:;; flowers arid maidenhair fern, and. wore a veil of tulle and a coronet of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids i.were : the Misses Rhoda Glover (Melbourne) and Betty v Thomson- (Qtorohanga). They wore, respectively, green georgette with crinoline hat to match arid; '.emon georgette; and crinoline hat.. Both carried posies to corresporid/with their frocks. Miss Adelaide Hunter (niece of the bride), acted "as flower girl, and wore a blue net -frock/ and ; bonnet, made in early Victorian style, and carried a basket of, lovely seasonable blooms. Mr S. Smith was best man and Mr George McCready groomsman. The hockey girls, of whom the bride had been captain, formed a guard of honour outside the church. Mrs P. H. Rowe played the Wedding March during the ceremony, and provided the music at the reception in the Town Hall, that followed. The bide?s mother received her guests wearing a navy blue georgette dress, and beige felt hat, and carried a bouquet of violets. About 200 guests sat down to the breakfast? when the usual toasts were proposed and responded to. A great array of valuable and useful wedding presents were on display in the Town HalL annexe, and these were greatly admired by the guests. The young couple left by motor car for the honeymoon, and will afterwards settle in Otorohanga. JOYCE—MARTHA The marriage was celebrated in the Anglican Church, Otorohanga, yesteday, of Kietha, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Martin, of Whawharua, to Mr J. Joyce, of Warkworth, North Auckland. The Rev. J. Treharne Phillips performed the ceremony. Miss Phyllis Rhodes provided pleasing wedding music. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father wearing a white satin frock, a tulle veil, and sprays of orange blossoms in her hair. She carried a bouquet of Iceland poppies, jonquils and asparagus fern. Miss Ruby Martin (sister of the bride) was the only bridesmaid. She wore a frock of green georgette, and a coronet of tulle. The best man was Mr W. Joyce, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was afterwards held at Mrs Young's, when about fifty guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. Mrs Martin received her guests in a navy blue satin dress and felt hat to tone. The honeymoon is being spent in a motoring tour, after which the young couple will reside at Warkworth. A dance (largely attended), was held at Whawharua, last night in honour of the event.
