CAR AND TRAIN IN COLLISION.

(By Telegraph. Press Association.) WANGANUI, Monday.

A m'otor car collided with the Castlecliff Railway Company's train at a crossing this morning, and the car was carried 70 feet by the engine. The driver of the car, W. J. Gilberd, escaped injury, but Misses Edna Crease and Gladys Jones, both passengers, were injured, the former sustaining a broken arm and collarbone, and the latter bodily injuries. Both ladies are in hospital.
