SERIOUS DAMAGE DONE. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Fire which broke out in Wellesley College, a two storey wooden building in Wellington Terrace, early this morning, caused severe damage before it was suppressed. Four class rooms and four offices were practically gutted, and two remaining class rooms were affected by the heat and smoke. The building is owned by H. Amas, Ltd., and used as a day school. The insurances are: Building, £2BOO in the Norwich Union office, and contents £750 in the Mercantile and General office.
