MOTOR CARS COLLIDE
AT MUTU STREET CORNER.
During the lunch hour -to-day itwo motor cars came linto violent collision at the intersection of Mutu and Mahoe sltrtfeltls. !I|t appears that a Chevrolet car driven toy Mr Geo. 'Daiton, was coming from Itlhe Pirongia end of Mahoe street to turn into Mutu street towards the PoWer Board office 'When Mr Rickard, 'driving a Ford coir, came along 'Mu'ijui stlreet from Ithe. Pbwter Board end. ' ThmkSng Mx ; Daiton was intent on . prodeeding slfcraight aheadhe slowed up Ito let it pass, but the two vehicles collided, the Ford running almost abreast wilth the Chletvirolet for, a few yards, when ithey crashed. The Ford's off ifoi<e wheel bumiped into the near rear wlheel iof 'the Chkivrolelt, considelrahly damaging the mudguard, and incidentalt!y buckling the wheel of the Ford.. Both cars welre amniediateiy pulled up, and) soon a,crowd coUkcted. Constable Doyle was soon on the spot, and itook measurements and diagrams showing the relative positions of the cars. . ■.,.:,:
