Mr and Mrs Lines entertained a number of young people to a five hundred and cribbage evening at their residence on Wednesday night of last week. A jolly time was spent, fun and laughter being rampant, and it was a merry party that dispersed for their homes about midnight after disposing of a dainty supper served by their hostess. SICKNESS. CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT., In response to an invitation from the Ohaupo Cribbage Club 26 members of the Paterangi club journeyed to Ohaupa on Thursday night of last week where they engaged in a tournament against the Ohaqpo club, Paterangi proved the winners by 10 games. The. Ohaupo ladies entertained the visi. tors to supper which was , greatly appreciated. It, is arranged that Ohaupo pay Paterangi a return visit next Thursday night, weather and other circumstances permitting. MEETING-. . ~

A meeting of the Paterangi Tennis Club was held last Tuesday night for the purpose of discussion on matters in connection with the holding of a club ball. Mr Lines, ,club secretary, occupied the chair. It was decided to hold a Grand Ball on Thursday, August 19th.. in the Paterangi hall.
