PLAINTIFF'S SUCCESSFUL CLAIM. (ißy Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In a case in which E. A. Grimmett claimed £ll7 from one parton, an exCity councilor and late manager of a motor firm now in liquidation, the S.M. gave judgment for plaintiff for £124 with, costs. He held; that plaintiff was entitled to* recover on several grounds, one of which was that the cheque given by him to redeem notes he had signed was accepted by defendant and his company and applied to other purposes. \ f
