1 THE, BURSTING OF A TYRE.

TWO BRIGADESMEN INJURED,

, The R'emuera fire engine capsized- at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Remuera Road* while returning from a small fire, at about 11.30 yesterday mprning, with the result that the driver, Mr Douglas Catley, and a .fireman, Mr Alfred' Noon, who were pinned beneath the overturned engine, received injuries necessitating their removal..to the hospital. Another fireman, .Mr G. Sanderson, who was also on the engine, jumped clear and escaped uninjured. Mr Catley received injuries to the 'head and body. His condition is not regarded, ais serious. Mr Noon sustained injuries and bruises to the back and legs, hut after .receiving treatment at the hospital he was allowed to return to tike fire station.
