ESTIMATED TO COST NEARLY £2OOO. .., A meeting of the works committee of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was held on Friday last to visit some of the streets due for asphalting next summer. , _ , „„„ Mutu Street and Frontier Road weie traversed from Alexandra Street to the 'borough boundary After careful consideration it was decided to recommend the-Council that Mutu Street be Asphalted, on the prdsent foundation with three to four inches of metal 12 feet wide, filled in the usual way with asphalt and small stone Tbe sum voted for Mutu Street and Fionier Road is £2574. the 'length mentioned in the. schedule heing fiom Mahoe Street and Pakura Street, a distance of about 100 chains. The rest of the metal is already in stack on the ground.
