IPRIME MINISTER APPROACHES’ ASKED TO FULFIL HIS PROMISE (By Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Licensing Reform Association has written to the Prime Minister requesting him to itake early steps towards fulfilment of the promise given by him before the election, on August 7th., that if returned to power licensing legis.ation would .be * introduced next session. Mr Coates in reply, says he will be glad to give the Association’s representations careful consideration when licensing legislation is next under review. This did not meet the Association’sviews, and it wrote again maintaining that the question was of first importance, and should be made tbe subject of special consideration by Cabinet at the earliest possible moment.
