HEAD-ON COLLISION

TWO CYCLISTS INJURED WHANGAREI, Monday. On Saturday evening a head-on collision occurred between two motor cyclists at a bend in the Main North Road beyond Hikurangi. Charles Hyde, aged 23, mine surfaceman, sustained severe injury and is suffering from con'cussion. He was attended by Dr. Cheeseman, who ordered his removal to the Whangarei Public Hospital. The other motor cyclist, Nankevill, escaped with a cut hand. A report from the hospital to-day states that Mr Hyde’s condition is regarded as serious.
