FIRST INTER-CLUB MATCH OF THE SEASON. CAMBRIDGE V. TE AWAMUTU, NEXT SATURDAY. The Te Aiwamutu Bowling Club has accepted an offer from the Cambridge Bowling Club to 'play an inter-club series of games on the Te Awamutu green next Saturday. Cambridge will be represented by the following:— L. Low. E. Harris, R. Webber, and T. Dix (is). ;D. Lundon, !H. Speight, H. Lewis, and S. Lewis (s). V. IBoulton, ,'W. (Halliday, E. Wallis, and W. White (a). J. Dodgson, M. McNamara, F. Hague, and J. Mclvor (s). 'C. Cooper, R. McLarnon, N. Hills, and iA. Pearce (s). H. MdCathie, F. 'Stokes, N. McFarlane, and Edgar James (s). Emerlgencies: C. F. Lange, T. Boyce, J. Hooker, and F. Tucker. First year team: W. Wilkinson, W. Moore, F. Gibbs., and L. Webber (s). The local team will have to use practically all its Saturday players to meet the visitors, for the membership is divided into Wednesday and Saturday ip layers. The Te Awamutu teams have not yet been .definitely chosen, but are expected to be available for our next issue. The first ganfes for the championship pairs and singles eventuated last Saturday, when the results were: G. Smith defeated G. O. Jourdain, 26—6; C. Bowden ,and C. Mclnnes defeated J. A. Hawkins and G. 0. Jourdain, 19—18. These competitions must be completed by the end of next month.
