"DRY" AGENTS CHARGED.

NEW YORK, Saturday.

Twelve prohibition agents have been arrested here on charge of being in illegal possession of liquor. Among the arrested is Mr Clyde Cheeseman, an agent, who is described a 9 one of the most active officials in the New York (N.J.) district, and he and others will be spcifically charged with being in possession of over 2000 cases of beer, which were awaiting transfer from New Jersey to New York City.

ißecently fifty policemen of Cincinnati were indicted for alleged violations of the prohibition law.

The Daily Graphic, 28th March, 1925, says:— " Prohibition leads to corruption and contempt for law. It is impracticable and cannot be enforced. It is farcical and dangerous. It merely prohibits sobriety among people who would otherwise be temperate." Keep New Zealand free from intemperance and corruption. 14
