The Otago Hospital Board report! that with regard to the radium whieh was lost some time ago a report has been received that there was evidence of radio activity in one hag of ashes, and also five others, and, oa th.e recommendation of the special committee appointed, authority has been granted for the six hags of ashes to be forwarded either to Belgium or to the United States for the extraction of the radium and the re-conditioning of the tube. Definite prices are to he obtained from America and Belgium for such work, and also for the supply of lOOmgs of radium already authorised. ,".. .
