TO-NIGHT

“MONSIEUR BEAUCAIRE.”

Rudolph Valentino will he supported by an all-star cast in the production of “Monsieur Beaucaire,” which will mark his return to the screen in Paramount pictures. Bebe Daniels, ILois Wilson and Doris Kenyon are the more important women players and among the men are Lowell Sherman, Oswald Yorke and John Davidson. Miss Daniels came from Holywood to play the role of Princess de Bourbon-Conti, Beaucaire’s early sweetheart in France; Lois Wilson will have the part of Marie, Queen of Louis XV of France, and Miss Kenyon will play Lady Mary Carlisle, the English girl. Lowell Sherman will have the role of Louis XV., King of France, Oswad Yorke will play Mirepoix, Paulette Du Val, a French actress just recently arrived in this country, will have the colourful role of Mme. Pompadour. John Davidson will be young Richelieu. The picture marking Rudolph Valentino’s triumphant return to the screen will be the special attraction at the Empire Theatre to-night.

TUESDAY. “DON’T CALD| IT LOVE.” No matter how much a man loves a •woman, he does not want her “draped” round his neck all the time. Alice Meldrum, in love with Richard Parrish, was too attentive to him. He expected that she should do things and so they drifted along. But when he met Rita Coventry her flattery carried him away and he mistook infatuation for love. The enlightenment was not long in comings but then Alice was, he found, not treating his affair so lightly. Jack Holt, Agnes Ayres and Nita Naldi are the players in the new Paramount picture, “Don’t Call it Love,” which will be screened at the Empire Theatre on Tuesday.
