DEALER SENTENCED.
OVER £4OO “GOES WEST.”
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Wednesday.
Richard Benjamin Knight, a stock dea'er who was arrested at Hamilton a fortnight ago, and charged with failure to account for £4OB 19s 6d in connection with the sa’e of sheep, was sentenced at the local sitting of the Supreme Court to eighteen months’ imprisonment.
Hui Kai Thompson, for forgery and false pretences, got twelve months’ hard labour.
