A SPLENDID REPORT

The members of the local District High School Committee had before them at last night’s meeting a very pleasing report from the Board of Education’s inspector on the condition of the School. The report, a|£er traversing the matter of attendances and staffing, said: “This is noAv a most capably taught and controlled School. The work reaches a high standard of efficiency while the tone is excellent. A fine loyal spirit permeates the staff and the pupils are keen, intelligent and industrious to a most pleasing degree. I note Avith pleasure the pride taken in the institution by the Committee and community, resulting in a building and setting Avorthy of the town. Mr Walker deserves much credit for the state he leaves the School in. His influence and example ha\'e been invaluable.”
